DIY Brown Sugar

Brown sugar is definitely my preferred sugar when baking and cooking sauces. It is rich and sweet and just adds that little something that white sugar doesn’t.

Buying brown sugar can be a luxury these days though. Once you know how to make it yourself, you can save money and still have this delicious option.

As an added bonus, I have found that homemade brown sugar does not harden like store bought. We have never had to worry about putting in apple skins or pieces of bread to keep it moist.
