How to Cook Rice

This is a recipe for the most basic rice. It is just rice. No flavourings or other additions.

If you are new to cooking rice, or have always had trouble getting it to come out well, this is a great place to start. The water required depends on how tight your lid is. If you do not have a tight lid, add extra water.

I find that even the stove element I use makes a difference. Make note of what works best for you considering your pot, lid, and stove.

Just make rice.

Once you have the basic technique, you can move on to transforming it into a vast array of main and side dishes.
